about

loud as shit poorly mastered dnb trash i made over the past 2 years

most of these were previously only available through the mod archive, or just straight up unreleased, so i figured i'd master and compile them all for everyone to hear :)

'dROPtHEfUNK' is a collaboration with Noxw that was previously uploaded to The Mod Archive, but saw no actual release until now.

'purview (SVL remix)' is a remix of a module by Prolet, whose made a handful of experimental IDM modules at the end of the 90's. their module 'concrete' was one of the first tracks i downloaded from The Mod Archive and since then i've found my way to their other modules which were equally interesting and experimental. back in 2019 i decided to give this one a remix. it was previously released as part of an EP on The Mod Archive, but never really properly released outside of that, so i'm putting it here so that everyone can discover it.

'ravesh1t' is a module i was working on as far back as october 2019 - it's made to be compatible with NitroTracker, a homebrew tracker on the Nintendo DS. the module was primarily composed in OpenMPT but the final recording came straight from one of my DS Lites, and as a result it sounds crunchy as hell! it was finished and released in 2021 as part of one of the pUwUlsewave compilations, but hasn't been released outside of our Soundcloud.

'5599' was part of a project between me and Noxw. it originally started with me creating some extremely experimental modules (which 5599 was a part of) and sending them to Noxw claiming i just found them with no artist credited. eventually i told them i actually created the modules and we got this idea to create a made-up artist who we'd attribute the modules to called "vertti". Noxw went as far as pretending they found some old email address of vertti, and made a collab with him by emailing back and forth. i'm pretty sure 5599 would never get the kind of attention it deserves if it's only release is credited to some no-name artist who nobody has heard of, so i've decided to make it a part of this compilation!

'keuteutoeaoitaoeheaouetoa' was part of one of the pUwUlsewave compilations on Soundcloud. hasn't been properly released anywhere but there until now.

'bathroom' was made two years ago as part of the Secret Sample Santa contest i used to host back then. the song makes use of OpenMPT's DSP effects, and the name is a reference to the reverb preset you're supposed to set OpenMPT to for intended playback. i honestly don't think this was uploaded anywhere before, other than one of the contest votepacks.

'dysphoria' along with 'ladik cut' is one of the only two songs on this compilation that *weren't* made in a tracker. it was originally intended to be a part of the SVL album, but i thought it was too emotionally heavy to include, so it's stayed unreleased until now.

'ladik cut' was part of a demonstration video i created of the Ladik D-333 ROMPLAY Eurorack module and one of the amen break ROMs that i ordered with the module - as such, the whole song was a one-take live recording from my modular system. i've never done anything with the song outside of the demonstration video, which has since then been taken offline. it's always been one of my favourite songs i've recorded with just my modular, i've always wanted to release it in some way, but i couldn't figure out what release it would fit on. until now!
